FRP cable trays are highly durable and can typically last up to 20 years. However, their high price tag, which is three times that of steel cable trays, makes them less popular. The benefits of FRP cable trays lie in their ease of installation, which is especially significant for chemical plant projects that require quick and effortless installation.

 

Aluminum alloy cable trays are another lightweight option, weighing only one-third of a steel cable tray. Aluminum trays have the same dimensions and load-bearing abilities as steel trays. Although the cost of aluminum alloy cable trays is around 20% higher than galvanized steel trays, their service life is over five times that of steel cable trays.
